The Move

I don't have updated pics of the house after the move yet so I thought I would go ahead and share some from the move that reflect Brox's involvement :) Lots of lounging, eating and playing. He has settled in great and loves his new room and big boy bed. He sleeps like a champ through the night and only fell out of bed the first few nights. More house pics coming soon.

Soo Close!

We are so very close to moving into our new home! 6 days from today! The shutters were put in yesterday and I almost cried when I saw them. This is exactly what I envisioned for my dream house. I can picture so many great memories that will fill the years to come.

Bevelo copper light fixture from New Orleans

Our builder putting in the last shutter. He told me we were one short. Not funny!

Custom designed/built knotty alder barn door

My pride and joy of this house. I have wanted a claw-foot tub for many many years. On move in day I will be soaking in this tub with the chandelier light dimmed:)

 Let me out!

Traditional subway tile and vintage style faucets

 Upstairs guest bathroom

Hexagon porcelain tile in the upstairs bath. They popped out the white tile to inlay the gray design. Did the same with black in Brox's bathroom but the floor was covered up.

Carrera marble and black soapstone countertops

Pretty pumped about the microwave drawer. You push a button and it opens out like a drawer. I am sure Brox will have fun pushing the buttons.

Paint, Stain and Tile Oh My!

Lot's of exciting updates this week! Paint and stain are finished (except for floors) and tile has started. Time to start counting down until November 14th!

Loving how the white paint turned out. So crisp and clean.

Bead-board ceiling in the kitchen

I worked closely with the painter to stain and sand the island in a way that would make it look old and add some character.

Backside of the island. Hole is where the microwave drawer will go.

 Walk in pantry

Cannot wait to hang Christmas garland on this stair rail!

Mudroom tile. Had to do a shout of to my old kitchen floor on Ellsworth. That was one of my favorite parts of our first home and I love that I could bring a little piece of it to our new home.

Powder bath with reclaimed tin that my Grandpa got from an old shed roof in Ennis.

 Master bedroom
Custom door that will go on barn door tracks between our bedroom and bathroom.

 Master bath vanity

 Brox's room

Outdoor fireplace slowly but surely going up

Had to throw in one of the view with the cows grazing in the distance.
