Chalk Art

So my mom got this new chalk art book and I took one look and thought it was going to be way to hard. I decided to give it a go and kind of impressed myself. May chalk game is now at a whole new level!

Couples Shower

We hosted a couples shower at our home for around 80 people. I absolutely love the way it turned out and the festoon lights over the front yard totally made it. It was great catching up with friends and making memories at our home.

We installed a new gorgeous American flag to our home just in time for our annual 4th of July party.

Paver Patio

Our latest project! It started out as an idea to add some small pavers in the corner where the grass wouldnt grow and turned into an 11ftx23ft paver patio with a retaining wall. Go big or go home!

The entire family helped out and even though it was hard work it was really fun watching everyone get involved. We love the new patio and I can't wait to start decorating it!

Walking to Nana's

IMG 0140 from Ashley Colunga on Vimeo.

Another reason why we love our life in Ennis so much. Lowe walking across the trail to Nana's for a slumber party. We just found out that Taylor (my cousin) is buying a house right down the road from us. Our country neighborhood now consists of my grandparents, my Mom, my aunt and uncle and now my cousin all within walking distance. We love our strong family bond! Not many people can walk to their grandma's house every Sunday for a home cooked meal.

Ennis Public Theatre

In addition to blogging about our house and crafts I also want to start incorporating more of our lifestyle and happenings around Ennis. The Ennis Public Theatre moved to their new location downtown and we were lucky enough to get to attend opening night. We parked and walked to dinner at Vintage Cross, went to the show then finished the night with drinks at Finn MacCools. My heart was so happy to feel like I was having a true "out on the town" experience in Ennis Texas.

The weekend prior we went to a Valentine event downtown during the day (shopping, chalk art, lunch) then had a birthday party at Lula Lanes followed by 5 course Valentine dinner at Vintage Cross then a surprise birthday party at Finn MacCools. I literally spent 8 hours in downtown Ennis and loved every minute of it.

Big things are happening here and I am so very blessed to live and work in this town.

Valentine House

The day the Christmas decor came down (which was mid January because I couldn't part with it) we put up our Valentine decor. We love Valentine's Day!
