Christmas Lights!

 I have always dreamed of having a white farmhouse and hanging wreaths with big red bows from the windows. This Christmas that dream is a reality! Although we were in the house last Christmas I was to sick to care about decorating (1st trimester of pregnancy). But it is on now!

So happy with the way it turned out. The pop of red really helps it look nice during the day as well.

Hello Fall!

Landscaping

Our landscaping is starting to shape up. All of the flowers and shrubbery are filling in and the grass that my husband planted is finally solid! Its crazy what a difference landscaping makes in the curb appeal. I just love walking around the house and seeing how things are growing.

Starting to add a little fall decor! Giant spiders and webs coming soon!

Somewhere over the rainbow

Still loving our house! I was playing outside with Brox, Lowe and Nana when I captured this awesome pic. Feeling very blessed to have my wonderful family grow up in such a picturesque location.

More updates coming soon.. for now all of our efforts are going into our newborn and toddler;)

Lakewood Home Tour

I am making changes to my other blog (featuring Brox and baby sis) and decided it was time to port our first home over to the house blog so we can look back one day and see where it all started out.
I loved this house and we have so many great memories here. It will always be a part of who we are.






We absolutely adore our home. It had so much charm when we bought it and through the years have added our touches to truly make it our "home." It will definitely be bittersweet when we leave this house. Lots and lots of memories.

August 2007-We got the keys!

As soon as we closed on the house we started attempting to refinish the hardwood floors ourselves. We screwed them up and ended up having to pay twice as much to get them done the right way. Now if it is a bigger task then painting we hire someone to do it:)

Brox's Nursery

Brox's nursery was featured on the homepage of project nursery and was nominated for nursery of the month.

I used chalkboard paint on the closet door and had mom write this Winnie the Pooh quote on it. Jordan and I were searching for the perfect quote that would have meaning form us to Brox and as soon as I came across this I cried and we both new it was perfect. 

I had this custom made on etsy with Jordan's badge number.

Free wall art using the left over fabric from the bedding and curtains grandma made. The bird is from the custom baby shower thank you cards.

Old records from mom's house. Some were mine and Sherry's and some were my aunt Tammy's

The "sunshine" sign was the first purchase I made for the nursery. My mom and I used to sing this together when I was little.
