Our newest addition!

 Our newest addition (baby sister) is due in 3 weeks. The latest update to the house has been getting her room decorated and ready for her arrival. My mom had the idea to frame my grandmother's sewing patterns so those are the focal point of the room. The furniture (crib, dresser and glider) are all from Brox's nursery. I am so glad a purchased very neutral pieces!

 Baptism gown is mine. Buttons are my grandmothers and aunt Hatties and the jars they are in are my grandpa's.

Chandelier is also from Brox's nursery. It was originally made and used for my bridal portraits. When we found out we were having boy we took the bling off of it and added the shades. For sister we added the bling back on but still kept the shades to give it a different look.

Mother's Day

 We successfully hosted our second large event at the house this weekend. We had 30 people over to celebrate all of the wonderful mothers in our family for Mother's day.

I kept things simple with craft paper table runners, mason jars, wooden forks and disposable napkins but dressed it up a bit with white china plates, printed mothers day cards at each setting and a touch of pink twine.

Our first event!

This weekend we hosted our very first event at the new house and it was a success. I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law Kaitlyn. We had about 30 guests and I realized that our house has a really good set up for entertaining. The large island and open floor plan made it really easy for everyone to eat and socialize. The weather was terrible so we didn't get to open up for the front and back patio but there was still plenty of room inside. So ready to meet baby Trace!
