Kindred Soule Marketplace

I am absolutely in love with a dreamy new store in downtown Ennis called Kindred Soule Marketplace. It is full of unique treasures ranging from jewelry to wall art and there is something in there for every budget.  I saw this beautiful piece of art posted on instagram Friday afternoon and within an hour I was in the store to look at it.  It was handmade in Georgia by Sugarboo Designs and had just arrived that day. As soon as I walked into the store I knew this piece had to come home with me.  I love the feeling of just knowing something is perfect for your home! My mom and I rearranged everything on the walls to put it in a place where is would be most visible. I think we found the perfect spot!

Farm to Table Dinner and Dance

 We attended a great fundraiser this Friday in Ennis benefiting the FFA. It was a farm to table dinner served on the street in downtown Ennis. It really looked and felt like a scene out of Hope Floats. It was such a great night to be a part of and see our town come together to support the FFA kids. I cannot wait to attend next years event.

Naked Cake

My first attempt at a naked cake. It needs some perfecting but I was pretty impressed for my first try. I used a buttermilk vanilla recipe.
